The biggest event for the fighting world right now, aka UFC 300 is just months away but it still lacks a main fight, and seems like Dana White is adamant about building the anticipation to such an extent that fans would have to rumble for it. Yesterday at the Powerslap 6 presser, White confirmed that not one but he would be announcing two fights for UFC 300.

Two fights are yet to be announced for UFC 300, including the main event and something in the middle, according to UFC head honcho White. In a conversation with the Full Send Podcast, White claimed that everything could be turned upside down in the coming days. Let’s explore why he said that.

The UFC head honcho has kept everyone in a state of darkness when it comes to the main event of the grand event. The anticipation is such that the fans have started making their theories about the fight. There have been rumors that White might put the Max Holloway vs. Justin Gaethje as the main event. However, his recent statements might have put cold water on the rumors.

While having a conversation with the Fullsendpodcast, White explained that he is working day and night for the UFC 300, and his single decision might turn around the entire card. “There are so many twists and turns, and crazy f****ing s*** going on behind the scenes of UFC 300. Everything that everybody thinks about UFC 300 right now, literally could all change tomorrow. It’s f***ing crazy what’s going on right now”

The UFC CEO further explained the main event would not involve Jon Jones as the fighter, however, he promised that the event would be good enough for the fans. “Jon Jones is not involved. We have one more slot to fill mid-level, and then we have the main event. Main event is not known right now. I know what I’m trying to do [for the main event], but what I’m trying to do and what’s gonna happen could end up being two completely different things. Unless I completely f***ing change everything.”

The main event of the UFC 300 may be on the line but as per White, it could change within minutes. The UFC admin is concerned about the stardom of the fight and this might be the reason why White in the recent Powerslap presser emphasized that the main event was done.

UFC 300 main event done and dusted?

The Powerslap 6 was a huge success for the UFC CEO and White was in a state of contentment due to it, however, it all seemed to have faded away when the reporters barged the CEO with questions regarding the UFC 300 main event.  UFC 300 is just two months away and the unnecessary delay from White in announcing the main event is frustrating the fans but what did Dana White already announce the main fight?

When White was asked about the UFC 300 fights at the Powerslap 6 presser, the CEO indirectly termed that it had already been announced. “Co-main event and another one. We’ve gone through a lot of crazy s*** trying to put this [card] together, so it’s been interesting. ASAP is the date [for fight announcements]” said White at the presser.

It must be noted that the entire card is filled with fights that have the potential to become the main fight. However, the fact that White is delaying the announcement of the further fight proves that he is looking at something larger than life. What’s your opinion on this?
