Dana White Expresses His Sorrow Upon the Sad Demise of Longtime UFC Cameraman Kevin Lynch

The UFC’s photographer Kevin Lynch skillfully revealed human storylines through his camera lens in a world infamous for its brutality and ferocity. Working for the promotion for over two decades, he sadly passed away recently. Moreover, UFC president Dana White shared his condolences on Instagram.

Kevin Lynch played a pivotal role in the UFC when it comes to showing the human side of every fighter. He joined the promotion in 2002 and found a home in the world’s biggest MMA promotion. Lynch’s work was not only loved by the fighters, but by UFC executives as well. Among them also included Dana White.

Kevin Lynch had worked for a considerable amount of time in the UFC. He had built great relationships with fighters, coaches, and even the higher-ups in the UFC. The reason behind the sudden demise is still uncertain. But that hasn’t stopped Dana White from expressing how gutted he’s feeling in the wake of the news on social media.

The 53-year-old promoter wrote, “RIP Kevin Lynch. Thank you for everything.” Dana White recognizes the work Lynch put in with his lens and did not fail to mention how much the promotion valued him and his work. He had already mentioned how White is loyal to those who are loyal to him, and after Lynch worked in the UFC for over two decades, he’s earned the loyalty of the UFC president. Lynch showcased the human side of MMA

The former UFC photographer attempted to eradicate preconceived notions regarding the brutality that MMA offers. He showed people how fighters appear to be before and after they’ve fought a fellow fighter. He showcased the transformation they undergo both physically and mentally.

His first and one of his best projects with the UFC dates back to UFC 40. He took his photography skills to work with Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock, and these projects are still available in the promotion’s archives. He had also worked with fighters like B.J. Penn, Matt Hughes, and Georges St-Pierre, just to name a few.

Dana White’s acknowledgment of Kevin Lynch will forever keep him in the memories of many fighters who had to chance to interact with him. His work, which mostly involved the concept of building trust with fighters, has changed the way people now perceive the sport. Lynch will forever remain one of the most important backstage personnel to have worked in the UFC.
