The UFC recently dropped Conor McGregor‘s comeback video just weeks ahead of UFC 302, which speaks volumes about the anticipation for the bout. It must be noted that UFC seldom drops such videos or posters two months away from the official matchup. However, there’s a twist to it. Both Michael Chandler and McGregor are planning to make that fight as big as UFC 300 but well guess the UFC’s graphics team has different plans.

The prom͏otion just released the offi͏ci͏al UFC 303 poster featur͏ing Conor McGregor and Michael Ch͏andler, and it’s not what many expected. The poster simply shows a mundane picture of ͏McGregor and Chandler with a seemingly yellow ti͏nt filt͏er. Previously, the UFC has released some extraordinary posters capturing the thrill of the expected bouts, especially when UFC’s very own Notorious is featured. Hence the fans have been left underwhelmed with the ordeal!

Several speculations have also been making rounds, with rising concerns about the former dual-weight champion’s dwindling relationship with the promotion. From rifts with the head honcho to trash-talking almost everyone in the fight biz, ‘The Notorious’ keeps justifying his moniker. However, if this underwhelming poster could be an indication of such, remains a complicated question to answer. On one hand, the biggest star in the history of UFC is about to make a comeback after three years of hiatus due to injury. His comeback is good news for the UFC, however, on the other, ‘Notorious’s contract is about to lapse as McGregor has only two fights left under his contract.

Nonetheless, their clash has been anticipated since last year, after TUF 31 concluded in August 2023. Yet, USADA, the drug testing agency previously employed by the UFC stopped McGregor from competing, citing necessary drug testing. It took the former dual-weight champion approximately a year and multiple tests to make a comeback to the Octagon. Consequently, the MMA community was not exp͏ect͏ing the official poster͏ to be so dull, especially after they roa͏sted the UFC for the unappealing graphics of UFC 300.

MMA community raises their eyebrows over Conor Mcgregor vs. Michael Chandler official poster for UFC 303

The poster lacked the essence of Conor McGregor’s comeback. On top of that Michael Chandler didn’t even look like him in the first place and a fan seemed to have highlighted it.

After the disastrous UFC 300 graphics work the MMA community took the matter into their own hands and designed multiple posters for McGregor’s return. The community expected the UFC graphics team to do a better job but seems like it’s a disappointment all over again.

To be honest, Michael Chandler looked a bit off in the official poster and a fan highlighted that he looked like Micahel Bisping and we can’t unsee it now.

After the disastrous UFC 300 design and the UFC 303 posters, UFC might need better graphics designers in their team and well, a fan highlighted the same thing.

Furthermore, a fan in a hilarious take suggested that Dana White might be using Fiver freelancers to make his posters these days.

Last but not least, a fan emphasized that the UFC 300 poster was bad but the UFC 303 poster is just baloney now.
