What could you hope for in a fight between the two richest people on the planet? The high-voltage environment, for sure. An iconic location, such as the Colosseum, could be. The gushing blood, maybe. But what about the feathers flying whenever Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg tried to land a shot? What if, instead of some deadly gladiator weapons, they were handed pillows to go for the kill? It’s definitely not a scenario that Dana White would like.

Despite keeping the traction alive for the super-fight between Meta CEO and his Tesla counterpart, the UFC President was pushed aside, and since then, updates on the fight have almost died down. With the UFC lynchpin out of the frame, his rival, Steve Williams, is ready to seize the opportunity with his Pillow Fighting Championship.

The two tech giants had initially agreed to a bout, with UFC head honcho Dana White playing matchmaker. Soon, both made up their minds to host the fight on their platforms, effectively sidelining White from the fray. Further, Musk’s non-agreement on a fixed date and his claims of surgery put off Zuckerberg, and the heat has since gone cold. Therefore, PFC’s CEO, Steve Williams, believed a pillow fight would have made sense.

In conversation with The Sun, William said, “They could have easily done a pillow fight, and that would have absolutely made sense. No one would have got hurt. And you would probably have just as many people watching it.”

Hence, the UFC’s rival foresaw a peaceful solution to their rivalry, a solution Musk’s mother would surely be pleased with. William also kept his faith in the super-fight’s traction and pull, despite the bloodless and amusing solution he pitched. However, the lingering questions persist. What are the chances of the fight materializing now that everything seems stale? Has the perfect moment to sign a fight contract passed?
