“No, I’m the flyweight champion, and yeah, I want to stay here for a long time. You know, I don’t look forward; I just think about fighting with O’Malley because we have some history. Before, he said something bad, and I want to beat him. I beat him in the gym, and I can beat him in a real fight. You know, I look at my list. Moreno looks like a former champ,” said Pantoja.

That’s crazy. He recorded the sparring, and he never passed the training. I asked his friend, [Henry] Cejudo, ‘Can you talk with your friend to send the video?’ and he said to me, ‘Hey, he’s not gonna send it to you, bro. You smashed him,” said Pantoja in one of his conversations.

.In response to this, O’Malley released a bit of the video which clearly shows that he was being dominant on the flyweight fighter, “I don’t like releasing sparring footage, but Pantoja can’t keep my name out of his mouth. I don’t know why he brought it up; I literally finished him in the first round with a liver shot.” Both of the fighters have watered down their banter considerably but it appears that it has reignited again. Interestingly, this is not the first time, Pantoja has called out Sean O’Malley for a clash.

Alexandre Pantoja outlines his dream fight against former UFC champion ahead of UFC 310

With a record of 28 victories and 5 defeats, Alexandre Pantoja is one of the most dominant fighters and champion within the division. The fighter is currently riding a six-fight winning streak and has already cleared out his division. Pantoja was so dominant within his realm that the promotion had to sign Rizin’s best flyweight to fight him. Regardless, ‘Cannibal’ has already defended his title multiple times, so what’s next for him? While speaking with the media, the flyweight champion gave a sneak peek about his dream fights.

“Demetrious Johnson was my dream fight, we might have to bring back for my next title shot! I wanted to fight Sean O’Malley for the bantamweight title, but he is irrelevant now! The Flyweight Division is the best it has ever been. Fighting Rodtang from ONE would be great, but i have the flyweight division in the UFC to protect,” said Pantoja.
