UFC 279 had some big names on the card. Fans were excited to witness some blockbuster fights. But the last-minute confusion about opponents left everyone scratching their heads. The promotion and Dana White received criticism for this. In fact, the former UFC fighter, Brendan Schaub, was one of them. However, Jorge Masvidal came to White’s rescue.

‘Gamebred’ shared an article on Facebook which claimed, Schaub exposed White’s UFC 279 antics. As per the article, the former heavyweight fighter along with Pat Miletich, felt that the promotion made last-minute changes to improve their card because of less interest.

However, Dana White was not happy with such accusations and didn’t shied from hitting back. As per him, the accusations did not make sense. He revealed the show was sold out.

Whilst all this, UFC welterweight fighter, Jorge Masvidal, took to Facebook and wrote, “People are saying that #BrendanSchaub crossed the line here “#DanaWhite has a family!”

Several fans took to the comment section to share their opinions. Regardless, many fans loved the Nate Diaz and Tony Ferguson matchup. While it was last minute, people thought both fighters were more comparable.

Veteran fighter, Nate Diaz, won the bout through submission in the fourth round. Thus, he retired from the sport with a win.

Brendan Schaub responds to Dana White

The way UFC 279 panned out caused many fans to ask questions, including Schaub. He took to Instagram to share his opinion about the promoter refuting all allegations.

He seemed annoyed and wrote a rather long post calling White a ‘bully’. He further clarified his previous comments.

However, this is not the first time they have clashed. Schaub and White have traded shots in the past. Back in 2018, the former made comments about the MMA business, and the promoter did not like that. White further spoke about Schaub’s supposedly bad UFC record and the knockouts he has suffered in the Octagon.

The fighter did not keep mum and hit back. Thus, the situation only escalated and today, the two personalities can’t stand each other.
