Being the president of the biggest MMA promotion in the world, one would expect Dana White to be a fan of MMA-themed movies. However, that could not be farther from the truth. Apparently, the UFC head honcho hates the one MMA movie that tops the list in that category for many fans.

In a recent interview, Hollywood actor Frank Grillo revealed that the UFC president hated an MMA flick he was a part of. The movie was called ‘Warrior’ (2011) and starred Hollywood heavyweights like Tom Hardy, Nick Nolte, and Joel Edgerton in the lead roles.

He added, “I did a show. A TV series called ‘Kingdom.’ He came to the set. He loved that because we kind of made that real. We kind of made it like the UFC, but Dana White hates ‘Warrior.'”

Grillo also added that the movie got recognition much later as there was no proper marketing done at the time of its release. Both Hardy and Edgerton were relatively unknown at the time and the sport of MMA wasn’t mainstream either, Grillo added. He also mentioned that the poster for the film looked like an actual fight poster.
