UFC 300 will forever be etched in our memories. The electrifying fight card, featuring a remarkable lineup of 12 reigning and past champions, delivered countless unforgettable moments that will go down in the annals of the promotion’s history. Nevertheless, amidst the overwhelming excitement, a particular group of fans seemed to harbor a more critical perspective on the recent pay-per-view event. This prompted Dana White, the voice of the UFC, to take to social media and address their concerns head-on.

Alex Pereira‘s devastating knockout of Jamahal Hill, Max Holloway‘s electrifying knockout of Justin Gaethje, and Kayla Harrison‘s triumphant victory over Holly Holm were undeniably some of the standout moments of UFC 300. This extraordinary event truly exceeded all expectations, leaving fans in awe. While it garnered immense praise from many, there were a few naysayers who couldn’t appreciate its brilliance. Nevertheless, Dana White wasted no time in silencing the critics and reaffirming the success of UFC 300.

Dana White claps back at UFC 300 critics

Fans were less than enthused when Dana White revealed that Alex Pereira would be facing off against Jamahal Hill in the main event of UFC 300. They were hoping for a showdown between Israel Adesanya and ‘Poatan’, convinced that it would have been a far superior match-up. However, despite the disappointment, the unwavering optimism of the UFC CEO radiated through as he expressed his belief that UFC 300 had the potential to go down in history as the greatest combat sports event ever. He mentioned it days before the PPV and his quotes were posted on Instagram, where fans made remarks about it.

However, Dana White wasn’t going to stay silent. The 54-year-old believes that he knows how he’s handling UFC events given that he’s been at the helm of the sport for more than two decades and hence, he clapped back at the haters. “I love EVERYONE of these comments!!!! Nothing better then hearing from the EXPERTS,” White commented on that Instagram post.

He further made the same comment on his Instagram story to make it clear that he did not like comments from people who don’t know anything about the fight business. While some fans may not have liked UFC 300, they may not have any complaints about the upcoming fights the UFC CEO announced after wrapping up the historic PPV event last weekend.

UFC CEO announces three blockbuster fights

While addressing the media about what went down at UFC 300, Dana White received a small note from one of his staff members during the post-fight press conference. Well, the note was all about some of the upcoming fights he and the matchmakers have come to set up, and the first one was Dustin Poirier, who will take on Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title on 1st June. Not only that, Sean Strickland will return to action against Paulo Costa in the co-main event in the same PPV event.

However, the most talked-about fight announcement was the confirmation of Conor McGregor‘s comeback fight against Michael Chandler. Just like ‘The Notorious’ stated earlier, he will be returning to take on ‘Iron’ on June 29. Dana White took a few seconds and had a look at the media representatives before he announced that fight, but as soon as he did, the people in attendance at the press conference seemed excited about McGregor’s return.

Dana White hardly gives a sod about what people have to say when he announces fights. And he has his own reasons! UFC 300 registered the third-highest gate collection for the promotion with over $16 million, and the CEO dished out over $25 million in total fighter payout. It remains to be seen if future events will be able to top UFC 300, which was arguably the best UFC event in 2024.
