‘Dana White Is Honestly a Legend’ – Colby Covington Lauds Dana White for Taking Care of the UFC Fighters

2020 was a very tough year for people and businesses all around the world. The pandemic affected almost everything around the world and everyone faced great losses because of it. Sports were no different, as almost every major sporting event of 2020 was either canceled or postponed. However, the UFC was amongst the only few companies to not only sustain but grow during that time. And the main reason behind that was Dana White.
The UFC President stood tall and organized a plethora of UFC events throughout 2020 and therefore earned much praise from his fighter and employees. Recently UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington appeared for an interview with The First and talked about the same.

‘Chaos’ like various other UFC fighters, thanked White for sticking by them throughout the pandemic. He said, “Correct. Dana White has been such a godsend to the promotion to the sport of MMA, you know. He stood up to cancel culture. The woke mob tried to cancel the UFC, tried to cancel Dana White.”
“Tried to say when we were still fighting and giving fighters the opportunity to make a living during the pandemic. Oh, all the fighters, this is so unsafe. God, people are going to be dead, there’s going to be dead bodies tripping over the street. He said no, I’m not backing down.”

“I’m going to give these fighters a chance to fight and compete and make a living and put food on our tables and roofs over our heads. So Dana White is honestly a legend and I can’t thank him enough for standing up to the woke mob and not backing down.”
Dana White will not force UFC fighters to get vaccinated
White had recently talked about how he would never force any UFC fighter to get vaccinated. The UFC President had said that if a fighter wants to get vaccinated, it’s on them. However, he would never tell another human being what to do with their body.

This statement came after many UFC fighters had talked about how they do not want to get vaccinated. Many people had believed that the UFC might force fighters to get vaccinated if they wanted to fight in the Octagon. However, White clearly does not want to do that and believes everyone has the right to do what they want.
