The controversial face-off

Nurullo Aliev’s inaugural match pitted him against Rafael Alves, resulting in a victory for Aliev, albeit with a notable air of controversy. The judges largely leaned in favor of Aliev; nevertheless, the bout encountered a moment of contention. Specifically, one of the judges scored it as a tie. This decision arose from Alves’ complaint that Aliev had bitten him during a ground encounter.

Aliev in his statement added that he didn’t bite Alves. He said ” “There was no bite. I was controlling him with my head and he was trying to get me off by putting his hand in my mouth. So I was trying to spit his hand out, and as I was spitting it out, his finger caught one of my teeth. And so maybe he was tired, so he decided that way to kind of call that there was a bite”. Whatever the case Aliev won that bout and is looking for new challenges.
