Ever since Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg hinted at an MMA fight between them, UFC President Dana White has been trying his level best to turn that idea into a reality. There is no doubt about how interested White is, in this one-of-a-kind billionaire MMA fight. From wearing a ‘Musk vs Zuckerberg’ T-shirt to communicating with the Italian government for a venue, White has done it all!

However, it now seems like all his efforts have gone in vain. Not because the fight is not happening, but because it is, just without the UFC’s involvement in it. This clearly means that Dana White won’t be able to cash on Musk vs Zuckerberg fight, which he believes is going to earn more than $1 billion in revenue.

  • “Dana next post fight press conference: “this fight is total bullshit, who wants to see 2 NERDS fight? It’s a gimmick fight and that’s just not what we do here”
  • “Dana was eying that $1bn revenue”
  • “You know Dana was gonna pay 12k to show 12k to win cause it’s their first fight in the UFC”

Interestingly, Dana White was one of the first big names to acknowledge the possibility of Musk vs Zuckerberg happening!

  • “With all due respect if this is not a UFC fight, then it’s another celebrity match”
  • “Been waiting for them to say not under the ufc”
  • “Imagine how big and red Dana’s head is currently expanding too”
  • “You know dana white turned into dana red when he saw this.”

These developments bring up a major question for fans of the UFC. Considering the relationship Dana White has with both billionaires, why did Elon Musk decide to make such a massive decision to not let the premiere fight promotion play a role? White, surely would have brought an immense amount of experience and mastery of the game i.e. fight promotion. Clearly some fans were not happy with UFC not being involved here. But what are your opinions? Should Dana White play a major role in this MMA fight? Or is it better off without UFC’s involvement? Let us know in the comments below.
