Former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling made his debut in the featherweight division. He took on Calvin Kattar at the famous UFC 300 event. Dana White later came out and supported his performance. Sterling was impressed with the UFC head and, in a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, he shared his opinion on the whole incident. The 34-year-old said, “I didn’t expect him to say that. He easily could’ve been like, ‘Well, we all know how a Sterling fight goes’. He could’ve easily said that and then people would’ve just sh*t all over me again. I thank him for that. That was cool. That’s all I ever wanted, for him to kind of atleast make me somewhat of an ally”.
