UFC President Dana White doesn’t hold back emotions. Even though he takes a measured approach when sharing information with the MMA media. There are certain subjects that get to his nerve. UFC, being a PPV-model business, already has a big toll to sell and promote events.
In addition, they have a completely unwanted element – the illegal streamers to worry about. However, it was the hackers that received one of the most controversial remarks from the $500 million worth UFC President.

In 2012, UFC’s official site went down as a group hacked it. They diverted the UFC.com URL, and the visitors were seeing an image with a few letters on the site, instead of the professional athletes’ data and the promotions event pages.
In an interview, Dana White went on a rant against them, as he said, “I’m not the website guy… I’ve never talked about this SOPA thing before… The only thing that we’re focused on is piracy. Piracy is stealing.”
White gave an analogy of how ‘Internet kids’ have changed the meaning of stealing and continued, “These kids who grew up on the internet never had to pay for anything. So, they don’t think you should have to.”
The UFC honcho stated, “These guys look like terrorists now. A bill that was about to die is about to come back.”
White, in another statement, went over the hill and compared the incident to the tragic 9/11 incident.
“You go out there and start acting like a terrorist, you’re going to get Osama bin Laden-ed,” (h/t gawker.com) said White.
Dana White thought people feared the Internet
Even though in 2012, the Internet was not what it is today, White believed, “Everybody is terrified of the internet, including all of you standing in front of me right now. I’ve seen it over the last five years. You guys are terrified of the internet, I’m not. I’m not afraid of the internet, love the internet.”

The veteran MMA promoter added, “Politicians were terrified of the internet. Now, what you’re doing is, now, you’re making them mad. One thing that everybody has to learn and everybody has to know you can’t, you know everybody, everybody is saying this thing, ‘you can’t beat the Internet’. You can’t beat the f***ing government – that’s who you can’t beat. That’s a fight you’ll always lose.”
The Manchester, CT-born, advised the hackers to not go against the government. Further, he offered his business doesn’t get ‘hurt’ by these ‘games’.
