Dana White also mentioned how Joe Pyfer recovered impressively after getting injured in his first Contender Series fight, and then going on a winning streak thereafter. “He’s had this dream of where he wanted to be. Gets back in [after injury], wins, gets the contract in spectacular fashion, and goes on a five-fight win streak or however many fights he’s on and all by finish,” the 54-year-old added. In addition to that, White also revealed some big plans for Pyfer in the future.

Bigger fights for Pyfer await after the Hermansson fight

Dana White weighed in on this weekend’s clash between Joe Pyfer and Jack Hermansson, claiming that the 27-year-old is up for a challenge. However, if the middleweight prospect manages to edge past his opponent, he could find himself in the top 10. White said, “Now, he’s taking on a badass dude that will break him into the top 10 if he wins. You couldn’t have a better story than this. It’s like a real-life ‘Rocky’ movie.”
