Conor McGregor is set to make his comeback to UFC in a fight against Michael Chandler. Both fighters are now engaged in the shooting for ‘The Ultimate Fighter 31’, following which they will be fighting inside the octagon. However, UFC president Dana White revealed some important stuff about their future clash.

Conor McGregor had his last fight at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier, which he lost. He is currently on a 2-fight losing streak and would seek to make a triumphant comeback and propel himself to championship contention. Michael Chandler has found himself in a similar predicament after winning just two out of his last five fights.

Dana White recently appearanced on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’. He gave an update on the McGregor vs Chandler fight and revealed to the fans the weight class for the fight.

The UFC boss claims that the weight class for the McGregor vs Chandler fight is yet to be determined. White mentioned that the set-up for the fight is still in its early phases. He said, “Those guys are fifty-five pounders. But we don’t know what we’re gonna do yet, we’re still working on that and figuring that out.”

Dana White confirmed the fact that both fighters, McGregor and Chandler, will battle it out inside the octagon. But the date for their fight has not been fixed yet. “Yeah, yeah, yeah, they [McGregor and Chandler] are gonna fight, when isn’t guaranteed. When, what weight class, what are these guys doing … Conor is still coming back from that shin break.”

During their conversation, Pat McAfee praised McGregor’s work in MMA, to which Dana White responded positively. He said, “Conor is a great partner to work with. Conor and I never had a problem.” White added, “This kid went from ‘nobody knew who he was’ to one of the biggest superstars in all of sports.”

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler were set to fight at 170 pounds, as per earlier rumors. But due to the ongoing shoot for ‘The Ultimate Fighter 31’, it is still in its early developmental phase. It does not seem like they will fight anytime soon. Fans will have to wait until the UFC provides an official announcement regarding the details of their inevitable clash inside the octagon.
