‘The Ultimate Fighter’ reality series by UFC has taken off since its inception in 2005. The show has been graced by many big UFC names like Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor, to name a few. However, the latter has confirmed on social media that he will return to TUF as a coach for the second time. UFC president Dana White has reacted to McGregor’s announcement. McGregor had appeared in TUF on the 22nd season of the show. The Irishman’s team took on UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber’s team. The 22nd season of the show saw call-outs for lightweight contenders who were 21 years or older. The show featured a total of 32 fighters.

‘The Ultimate Fighter’ has had some bland episodes recently. It needs rejuvenation. There isn’t a bigger name in UFC than Conor McGregor. His return to the show could see a considerable increase in viewership.

The former UFC champion took to Instagram and shared a post announcing Dana White’s proposal for him to return to the show.

‘Notorious’ posted a photo on Instagram from the time he was on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ house and reminisced about his experiences. He wrote: “This is a snap from the original ultimate fighter house. Where I coached vs urijah faber…”

McGregor also mentioned Dana White’s proposal for him to appear once more in TUF and claims that he is ready. “Crazy. Some journey. I have just been offered to coach this role again. I like it. It is full immersion which is needed. I see fighters lining up. I know whats ahead I been ready motherf*ckers.”

Meanwhile, Dana White shared Conor McGregor’s post on his IG story, thus acknowledging and confirming the announcement of his TUF appearance. If ‘The Notorious’ coaches fighters once again, it would be interesting to see if a rival fighter too will be a part of the show.

McGregor is set to return in 2023 after being inactivity due to a severe leg injury. He has been active on social media and even shared pictures of his incredible body transformation. McGregor has even talked about fighting in the welterweight division.
