Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman are all set to face each other at the UFC 261 main event. This fight is going to be a rematch between the two fighters. They had earlier faced each other at UFC 251, where The Nigerian Nightmare had defeated Masvidal via unanimous decision.
The fight between Masvidal and Usman is going to be very important for the future of the Welterweight division. Recently, UFC President Dana White spoke about who could be the next opponent for the winner of the Usman vs Masvidal fight.
White clearly stated that if everything goes according to plan, Colby Covington will face the winner of the aforementioned matchup.

“Who knows, anything can happen, guys get injured, things happen, timings, who knows, especially in this day and age, but that should be the fight that happens next.”
Covington is the No.1 ranked fighter in the UFC welterweight rankings and deserves a title shot. White agrees with the fact and is quite certain that the fight will happen. Covington last fought in the UFC at the UFC Fight Night: Covington vs Woodley event on September 19, 2020. He won the fight via TKO and made sure he was in position for a title match.
What to expect from the fight between Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal?
‘Gamebred’ returned in 2019 after being away for almost 16 months, and when he returned, he seemed like a different fighter altogether. He won his next three fights via KO and that too against great opponents like Ben Askren and Nate Diaz.

Masvidal always gives his all when he competes. Fans expect to see entertainment when Masvidal is in the ring. Although, nothing like this happened in his last fight against Usman. The UFC ‘BMF’ and The Nigerian Nightmare put up a fight that was deemed boring by many.
