UFC President Dana White is a very determined individual. In 2020, during the start of the pandemic, when the entire world came to a standstill, he was adamant about continuing the UFC schedule as usual. After facing a lot of initial criticism as he persevered to live up to his words, his success in keeping sports alive was praised.

Moreover, other sports leagues reached out to the UFC President to understand how the UFC ran its smooth operation.

White sat down at The Pivot Podcast and talked about how President Trump organized a meeting with different sports league owners to conquer the situation.

While discussing the topic, the UFC head honcho detailed what went down in the call; White said, “I was listening to everybody get on there and talk. And I was like, ‘these guys are all full of sh**’. None of these guys are going to f**king roll or really want to do what they’re saying.”

However, White suggested there was one exception that berated him.

“When we hung up the phone he f**king texted me & said ‘why didn’t you talk on that call. There’s f**king questions that need to be f**king asked, you didn’t ask any f**king questions. You didn’t do this.'”

The UFC President revealed who it was and emphasized, “Vince McMahon started texting me & basically f**king berating me after the call… And I was like because I think everybody is full of sh**, that’s why. Except for you. You are definitely not full of sh**.”

While White praised McMahon for continuing to run his shows in the tough time, he criticized the other promotions for backing down.

Dana White made an impact by being the first to return

In March 2020, most organizations canceled or postponed their shows. Even the UFC had to take a short break after the involvement of Disney.

However, White made a quick turnaround and shocked the sporting world with the UFC’s smooth conduct of operation when others thought sitting out was the best option.

Dana White’s efforts paid off as the UFC & ESPN saw a massive growth in fanbase as they were the only live event on TV. Even astronauts in space were watching the event.
