The war of words between Dana White and Francis Ngannou doesn’t seem to end as the UFC CEO made yet another stunning claim about the Cameroonian-Franch star’s departure from his billion-dollar promotion. As we all know, there’s been a growing interest among fans, pundits, and even promoters to witness the biggest possible heavyweight showdown in MMA between Ngannou and Jon Jones. But guess what? Dana White claims that ‘The Predator’ wants nothing to do with ‘Bones’.

Prior to UFC 308, a reporter from ‘The Daily Mail asked Dana White’ if he had any wish to cross-promote the Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou fight since the latter isn’t in the promotion anymore. However, the UFC CEO maintained his stance on not wanting to collaborate with any other promotion. Moreover, what was more surprising was the fact that the 55-year-old claimed that Jones was the reason why Ngannou chose to leave the UFC.

“Francis didn’t want that fight. I’ve said this many times – Francis isn’t here because of Jon Jones,” Dana White stated. He has mentioned this before in a recent Contender Series presser, which is a total 180-degree turn, since not too long ago, White suggested Jon Jones go down to middleweight and avoid fighting Francis Ngannou.

Dana White denies owing Francis Ngannou money

Francis Ngannou, when he left the UFC, mentioned taking issue with Dana White’s business tactics. Recently he claimed that for the fights against Stipe Miocic and Ciryl Gane, he was supposed to get “backpaid” by Dana White and Co. but that never happened. Now what does the UFC CEO respond with? Well, first of all, he called Ngannou for lying, and secondly, White claimed that it was the former UFC star who owed him money while throwing a dig for his underwhelming performance against Derrick Lewis.

“We’ve been a business, even when it was upside down, where we owed somebody money – never happened. So he’s full of sh*t there. Then (he says) I lost? I didn’t lose anything. I was done with Francis after the – he actually owes me money, because we had to watch that fight with him and the ‘Black Beast.’ He should actually pay me back for that fight, and all of you. And me praying for (him to fail) – trust me: I don’t think about Francis that much,” Dana White told ‘MMA Junkie’.

Upon the continued bickering between Dana White and Francis Ngannou, it is still unclear as to what transpired and who is to be thought of as the right one. It appears that they’ve harbored disdain towards one another, which may not dissipate anytime soon. In this regard, it is prudent to keep one’s expectations in check for additional developments.
