Believe it or not, UFC President Dana White is one of the harshest critics of his prospects. The 52-year-old never shies away from unloading on his fighters and to get in his good books is a rather tedious task.

Recently, in a conversation with Adam Catterall of BT Sports, White said, “I was talking about how all these people don’t wanna fight Khamzat Chimaev. Let’s not forget Leon Edwards said yes. When Leon Edwards was next in line for a title, Leon Edwards accepted that fight. Then Khamzat got hit with COVID and all that stuff happened, so I wanted to clarify,”.

“100% yeah, that kid had a rough run. He deserves it. If you look at it, Colby lost to him twice, Gilbert’s lost, Leon’s next, he is number 3,” said White.
The long-awaited title fight comes to Edwards after ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has already defended his strap five times in the past. Although it remains to be seen if ‘Rocky’ can fare better than his fellow welterweights, who were completely dominated by the champion.
