“I’ll announce some fights for you guys here,” White started reading off a list. “This Miami card is stacking up to be bada**. Michael Venom Page versus Kevin Holland.” He announced to the press. Starting the list off with Venom Page had to be intentional. Do you look forward to this fight?

Venom Page is an unorthodox fighter like no other. His style is electric to watch and he secures wins as if he was on a a morning walk. It was natural that many promotions would try to go and secure a contract with him. “MVP! Whenever you want, I’m here for you!” Cedric Doumbe of the PFL had said.

“We’ll see what happens in the future,” Page had said and nobody knew just how edge-of-the-knife statement that was. Now, he’s meant to fight against Kevin Holland at UFC 299. Holland too was perhaps fooled that he had lost his potential opponent. Would he be happy now?

Kevin Holland on PFL move

Dana White and Co., started getting into a conversation with Venom almost immediately after the fighter’s release from Bellator in July 2023. However, no contracts or signings were announced. When the PFL scene popped up, Holland seemed a bit disappointed.

“. . . that’s a money move not a legacy move,” Holland said about ‘MVP’s then suspected move. Of course both the promotions offer big bags of cash for a fighter of his statue. However, would it have been better for him to secure a bigger bag or a greater chance at glory? Now, his fight against Holland is fixed. Who are you rooting for?
