Conor Mcgregor and Micahel Chandler’s fight would transpire after approximately a year of fiery build-up and this might have let Chandler believe that he would have the capability to surpass Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s 2.4 million PPV sales. In his latest outing with Ariel Helwani, ‘Iron’ explains that he is planning certain things that would build up their fight even more.

“This is a big fight, man. I mean, and I will argue, and this is no disrespect, but we wanna break that peak number, alright? 2.4 million. That was huge, you know, the animosity, and you know, the biggest Muslim fighter in the world, and it had the making of doing that kind of number. But this one, Conor’s comeback. We have 73 days to build this thing,” said Chandler.

‘Iron’s take might be a bit controversial considering that the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor fight had a buildup that has yet to be surpassed in any of the fights for the UFC till now. Chandler is looking to get a share of the PPV sales but according to Daniel Cormier, he should not be demanding it for now.

In the latest video on his YouTube handle, Daniel Cormier argues that the one who would drive the sales would be McGregor and advised Dana White to withhold any PPV sales share to Chandler. “I don’t know why you would give pay-per-view points to someone that’s not gonna drive the sales like, and this isn’t me hating on Mike. Mike’s not… he is exciting, but I see your point. He’s not driving the sales on this one, right?” said Cormier.

Dana White is strict when it comes to money and the UFC might not let Chandler have a chunk of the PPV sales. Regardless, Chandler’s fight with McGregor was criticized as some people in the MMA community thought he didn’t deserve the fight but in his latest take, he disregarded every baseless claim.

Chandler do not think about trolls

Michael Chandler waited to clash with Conor McGregor since last year when they were coaches at the TUF season 31. The clash was supposed to happen in December last year but USADA stopped McGregor from competing. Chandler waited patiently for ‘Mystic Mac ‘ to come back and finally, Chandler got his fight.

There was a tincture of criticism for Chanlder’s fight with McGregor but in his latest take, ‘Iron’ has expressed his feelings. “When it comes to the last couple of years, when it comes to who’s going to put more work in, who has been putting more work in, who has been more steadfast, more immovable, more disciplined, I’m the guy who has earned it,” said Chandler in a conversation with the media.

Their clash would be a five-rounder and it would take place at the welterweight. Who do you expect to witness at the victor? State your thoughts in the comments below.
