“This guy’s not a good f*****g guy. He’s a bad guy.” That’s a strong and charged statement to make. But that’s exactly how UFC boss Dana White describes former heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. The recent allegations of ‘The Predator’ physically assaulting White are all over the media right now. And that has sparked more than debate in the world of MMA.

The heavyweight and the UFC parted ways in early 2023, after a contract dispute. Ngannou sought a three-fight deal with the right to return to professional boxing afterwards, a request that was never granted. He then decided to gain free agency and sign with PFL, which has been turbulent for the fighter lately. White, seemingly not so pleased, came back to the media to share the real reasons as to why he cut Ngannou from the UFC. However, the allegations fell out of the blue and were not very convincing to the insiders.

Dana White faces skepticism about Francis Ngannou allegations
“I’d like to hear Francis’s side of the story. I’d like to hear that side of the story. Third of all, wouldn’t there be footage of this? Wouldn’t they have security cameras that would pick this up? I mean, you can definitively prove this one way or the other, I would imagine, right?” Luke Thomas of The Luke Thomas Show pointed out.
“I’d be very surprised if they didn’t have cameras that picked up on this, and they would probably have the date and be able to locate this relatively easily. But to my knowledge, we don’t have that yet or may never have it,” he continued.
The only piece of media that holds Ngannou accountable for the physical altercation is White’s words on the Flagrant podcast. According to White, Ngannou was fired up because he didn’t get the $50K fight of the night bonus. While the two argued back and forth regarding the paycheck, things escalated, and ‘The Predator’ grabbed White by the shirt and shoved him.

Furthermore, Luke Thomas also points out the “bad guys” with whom White has continued to associate. Conor McGregor and Jon Jones have found themselves in the wrong headlines several times and still found their way inside the UFC. This raises questions over Dana White’s selective moral compass, which only applies when a fighter leaves UFC or challenges him.
“Since when does Dana White get to be the arbiter of who is good and who is bad? More to the point, if Francis is bad, they still kept him on the roster after this point and then tried to re-sign him for one of the biggest deals in the UFC. They do business with bad people, and they, for the most part, don’t seem to mind,” Thomas added.

While this is not to deny the accusations outright, as Thomas pointed out, some form of evidence would be appreciated. Because the allegations only get more colored after White’s comments.
Dana White wasn’t the only victim of Francis Ngannou
Francis Ngannou wasn’t just intimidating to the UFC boss, as Dana White claimed. Allegedly, he also physically assaulted White’s Chief Business Officer, Hunter Campbell. “My guy Hunter, they were talking about something, it might have even been that same thing [about the bonus]. And when Hunter started to walk away, Francis grabbed him by the back of his collar and pulled him back and said, ‘We’re not done talking yet,’ White revealed.

But the allegations don’t quite end there. A former UFC employee, Anthony Evans, shared that Ngannou was intimidating and “a terror at the UFC office.” Although he never physically harmed anyone, the ‘Predator’ would constantly show up at the back office and stand over employees’ desks. According to Evans, he once stood over a female UFC employee creating artwork and demanded changes.
“He’s a big scary dude and he had no business standing over people’s desks telling them what he wanted,” Evans shared. White added to these allegations, stating how Ngannou “practically lived” at the UFC Performance Institute. White had tried to cut him off earlier, but matchmakers had prevented him, as the UFC boss claimed. That split eventually came in 2023, but not without drama even years later.
