Dana White jumps in for the rescue of the Sean Strickland and Du Plessis bout

Sean Strickland is not afraid to fight anywhere and anytime. The same could be said for the South African phenomenon. However, it’s best for everyone if the two maintain a good distance until they’re actually in the cage. Dana White knows this best.

The thing is, the two could get into a brawl and seriously injure one another. This could lead to the fight ultimately being called off or a replacement fighter being called in. That is not a comforting thought for Dana White who wants the stadium to be filled with excitement.

So, during a recent face-off, when Du Plessis started marching forward to take down Strickland, White was quick to react. He quickly grabbed Du Plessis’s arm and came in between the two stars before they collided. Clearly, he’s been in similar situations before.

It’s probably all a part of selling the fight. The tension of a heated rivalry only makes things more exciting inside the cage. But nobody wants a cut in the wrong place at the wrong time jeopardizing a whole fight. Just ask Charles Oliveira! Now, fans are reacting and they’re hilarious.

Fans react to the viral clip

UFC fans always come up with the snarkiest ways to highlight things no matter what’s going on. In this new viral clip, Dana White’s quickness was appreciated while at the same time, some fans thought that the fighters were trying a bit too hard to sell their fight.

Others talked about the ins and outs of the combat sport.

“It’s called selling a fight”

Finally, this fan sent down an ultimatum.

“Gonna be a war”

Clearly, the hype that White would want for this matchup is all right there. All that’s left is for them to finally step inside the cage for good and take a go at each other. Strickland has just defeated Israel Adesanya and Du Plessis is all charged up to try and do the same to ‘Tarzan’. Will he succeed?
