Wanderlei Silva will finally be inducted into the Hall of Fame as the second member of the 2024 class. The announcement was made at the UFC 298 PPV event in Anaheim. Silva was last seen inside the Octagon when he took on Brian Stann at UFC on FUEL TV. Silva won the fight via knockout, thus earning the title for the second most finish in his career. In 2001 ” The Axe Murderer” became the first Pride FC Middleweight champion and did not lose his belt till 2007. Silva spent the majority of his time in Japan initially. He then moved to the United States in the latter stages of his career. However, his time in the UFC was very turbulent, and he also had some disagreements with the UFC CEO Dana White. The 54-year-old also predicted that the Brazilian would never be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

However, during the press conference, the UFC Head Honcho was asked whether he remembers his beef with the 47-year -old to which he replied: “I’ve been in so many beefs with so many people that I didn’t even remember that till you just told me. It’s a good thing I forgot.” White is known to be a person of strong opinions and in the past has been involved in many altercations with his fighters.

In a recent turn of events UFC insider, Jon Anik, was asked to pick the main event for the UFC 3oo and he shocked everyone with his answer. He said: “I would go with Max Holloway and Justin Gaethje, and I actually think right now, if I had to make a prediction, that’s going to be your main event for UFC 300.” The historic event is still waiting for the main event and many superstars have shown their intent to feature in it.
