Dana White and Ariel Halwani have one hell of a rivalry that has been ongoing for a long time. Now, how did it start? Initially, they were comrades and shared a good relationship, and the duo was even seen in interviews regarding UFC and MMA. However, once UFC 199 came about, things took a turn for the worse. It had a surprise announcement about the return of Brock Lesnar, but Helwani broke the news a little earlier, which made the promotion hand him a lifetime ban. Since then, their relationship has been sour. However, Turki Alalshikh, the Royal adviser of the Saudi Royal Court, recently asked for a reunion between the two, and the fans were left in splits. 

There is probably no other journalist that Dana White dislikes more than Helwani. However, Turki Alalshikh wants to play the peacemaker and end the beef. For the uninformed, Alalshikh is the one responsible for the combat sports fame in Saudi Arabia over the past years. While speaking to Helwani in the recent video of the MMA Tour, the Saudi advisor said that he wished to see this rivalry over.

He declared, “A small direct message for you when you finish your fight with Dana White, we want to see you together. I have a direct message now to Dana White, and you. It is time to turn the page and begin a new page. If you come to the card, any card with us, I want to sit me and you and Dana White together. I will try my best but I think he is a smart guy.”

Helwani confirmed that he would be open to it, but was not sure if White would be willing to make the peace. So technically, the reporter put the ball in the UFC head honcho’s court. Meanwhile, fans were left in stitches as they imagined Dana White’s reaction to the peace request.

Fans have fun at the expense of Dana White and Ariel Helwani

Helwani is banned from attending any UFC event after the leak of information that he did before UFC 199. He has also been criticized by Dana White for the way he reports on UFC. However, Alalshikh wants them to become cordial again, and this made fans comment on the idea. One follower said, “Dana will be fuming haha,” while another added, “Why? Ariel made a career out of hatin on UFC and Dana.” Interestingly, Helwani defended Dana White during UFC 300 when other veterans were criticizing the event. 

One follower even commented that if the Saudi Royal advisor could solve this, then he could bring world peace as well. They said, “His Excellency is going to solve world peace next if he can get these two on cordial terms.” Another social media user complimented Alalshikh and wrote, “Bro resurrected boxing. If anybody can do it, it’s him.” One fan even said that the Saudi advisor would be considered invincible if he could make this happen. They said, “If this happens sh** that man could say he can walk on water and I’d believe him😂.”
