Darren Till calls UFC middleweight champion “s***”
As he sat down on the legendary podcast of the UFC Hall of Famer and former middleweight champion Michael Bisping, alongside Paul Felder, Darren Till had an onslaught ready for the whole 185-pound division and their champion Dricus Du Plessis. Till minced no words while he absolutely ignored how Du Plessis beat him, as his words showed he believes that he can outstrike the champion.
‘The Gorilla’ said, “I’ve seen the state of the middleweight division. Yeah, I think I can comeback. I’m the only guy who really give the champion any trouble on the feet. Everyone else sort of gets confused by how s*** he is when he’s beating them. He wasn’t a problem for me. The problem for me was just a little niggle and I wasn’t strong enough.” Revealing that it was his strength that was missing against Du Plessis, leading to the submission loss.

He further added, “He’s a strong dude. But apart from that, especially now since I’ve improved my boxing skills, I just don’t think Dricus could beat me. If I stuff them takedown attempts, I do see that opening there for me to go.” Can Darren Till ever pull this off? For that, he has to make a comeback first.

Furthermore, it was this fight for the South African that skyrocketed him among the top 10 middleweights of the UFC. In a potential return where we can ever see Till compete for the UFC middleweight title again, if he manages to beat Du Plessis, the poetic aura of that moment will be immeasurable. However, that is a long speculation.
The UFC middleweight division is full of competitors who have higher chances than Till to beat Du Plessis, yet they all failed. Next in line for Dricus is Khamzat Chimaev, an unstoppable force in the UFC? Can Darren Till stand against him, too? That’s something only time can tell. What do you think?
