The UFC is known for the number of stars it unearths. There’s always a sense of wonderment when you watch a young fighter develop his skill and talent to become a superstar or even a champion. For many, Kevin Holland is the next big thing.
He was on an incredible run after winning all five of his fights in 2020. This feat was so exceptional that he tied a record for the most wins in a calendar year. However, it all came crashing down when Derek Brunson showed the relatively young man a thing or two about wrestling.
Holland was dominated in the fight and, in a bizarre turn of events, started trash-talking Brunson instead of fighting back. However, he seems to have put that loss behind him as he faces Marvin Vettori this Saturday in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Vettori vs. Holland.

However, this wasn’t in the works as Vettori was originally going to face Darren Till, but Till pulled out of the fight due to an injury. Holland talked to UFC on BT Sport and mentioned that he and Till have an arrangement.
“Me and Darren Till actually had a conversation about it. Darren Till can go up there. He can fight Israel Adesanya for the belt, smack Israel Adesanya for the belt, take the belt from him, and then like he said, me and him could fight for the belt,” Holland said.

However, ‘Big Mouth’ didn’t stop there and talked about something that might have been on the minds of several middleweights. “Darren Till is ahead in the rankings by dropping good memes and not even winning fights at ’85,” he said.

Additionally, he said that he understood the need to make that fight and that he would have no issues with the fight if it generates a lot of money. “If there’s a fight that the people would want, there’s a fight that’s gotta pay a lot of money. I’m a businessman. Go ahead, do it,” he said.
