Joe Rogan is one of the most well-known personalities on the UFC broadcasting team. The bald head of Rogan has, over time, turned into an identity of the 55-year-old. By now, it is hard for people to remember Rogan with a head full of hair. However, there was a time for Rogan when he was way too insecure about getting bald. The JRE podcaster believed that, as a TV personality, if he went bald, he might lose a lot of opportunities. He felt that his hair loss might become a major obstacle that would keep him from success. This prompted Rogan to go for multiple hair transplant procedures in his late twenties.

Unfortunately, none of these treatments worked for Rogan. Instead, they made Rogan more insecure about his look. When finally the ex-Fear Factor host decided to embrace the bald look, he was left with a giant scar on the back of his head due to the previous hair transplant treatments, which include strip harvesting. In an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the commentator talked about the consequences of a hair transplant. The video found its way to Facebook and caught the attention of the English MMA fighter, Darren Till.

Darren Till makes fun of Joe Rogan

In a video clip from JRE, Joe Rogan was seen talking about the consequences he had to face due to undergoing hair transplant treatments. Rogan said, “I had a hair transplant. It was the dumbest thing I have ever done. I have this giant scar in the back of my head. It looks like a smile. I just was scared that I was going bald. I was like, ‘What can you do?’ and they tell you, ‘They can fix it.’ ‘Oh great, I will get it fixed’ but it does not really fix it.

Under the post, the former UFC welterweight title challenger, Darren Till, commented, “Joe Rogaine.” “Rogaine” is the brand name of minoxidil, which helps to prevent hair fall. Minoxidil also helps with the growth of new hair in both men and women. By calling Rogan “Rogaine”, he was trying to make fun of the most popular UFC commentator.

It was not just Till

Joe Rogan’s baldness has never come in the way of his success. However, it’s not just Till who has pulled the leg of Rogan. The Brazilian UFC fighter, Paulo Costa, has made fun of Rogan going bald through his Twitter handle. Costa posted two images: one was of him having the transplant with his doctor, and the other was a collage of Rogan with and without hair.

"Like many, my journey into the beautiful game began by watching the mesmerizing Lionel Messi, as his impeccable vision on the pitch and role as a playmaker, meticulously calculating the path to goal always amazed me. This fascination with the finer details of soccer strategy naturally extended to my interest in content strategy. However, my zeal for being a soccer content analyst is not only because of Messi's magic, as I am a keen follower of the Becks as well. While in David Beckham, it was a special affinity for his mastery of crosses, passes, and set pieces, in Victoria Beckham, the fashion queen, I find inspiration in how she masterfully navigated the world of aesthetics and brand identity. This unique blend of admiration for both the tactical intricacies of soccer and the world of fashion and entertainment helps me to cover the game from angles that seamlessly balance sport and entertainment. Before joining EssentiallySports, I worked as a content analyst as well. A Master's degree in English and Comparative Literature from a premiere institute has helped me hone my writing skills and given me a unique perspective on the world of sports. Interestingly, besides soccer, I also extensively covered UFC, especially the Joe Rogan podcast. In my free time, I enjoy reading and keeping up with the latest developments in the world of sports.
