It looks like Mark Coleman is out of danger. Being a UFC legend, Coleman has received much love and many prayers from fans and pros of the sport. What happened to him? The former fighter and hall of famer recently made headlines for saving his family out of a raging fire.

‘The Hammer’ reportedly saved his parents and carried multiple family members away from danger after a fire broke out in his Ohio home’s kitchen. Multiple fire departments reported to the scene to help shut down the flames but perhaps it was too late.

Coleman decided to run back into the flames so he could save his beloved dog, Hammer. Unfortunately, it was right then that the smoke and the flames became too much for the UFC legend and his body refused to move forward. Mark Coleman had to be airlifted away to a hospital.

Unfortunately, Hammer passed away but Mark Coleman is alive and well. In fact, he is on his road to recovery. Recently, his daughter, Kenzie took control of his social media accounts to send down a heartfelt message to the fans.

“. . . i want to thank each and every one of you for the prayers, support, and generosity. I always knew i had the best fans around. What you have done for me and my family is truly remarkable. . .  Also, it breaks my heart to say this but rest in peace to my special dog hammer.” After news regarding his condition broke out, multiple UFC stars sent out their thoughts and prayers including Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev.

Fans and pros pour their love in for Mark Coleman

Charles Oliveira took to his X handle to address Mark Coleman and wish him a speedy recovery after the incident.  “What’s up, Coleman? I’m here to wish you all the best. Very, very soon you will be recovered. Good? As your fan thank you for all kindness and I’m here, praying and everything will be alright with you and soon you’ll be back home with your family. A kiss in your heart, my friend.” He said.

Islam Makhachev on the other hand uploaded a story asking Coleman to “get well soon”.

Meanwhile, on the Instagram post, his daughter Kenzie Coleman promised the fans to make sure Coleman rests for a while now.

“I promise to hide his weights and sandune stepper everyone i love you dad. I love you hammer. Nothing but up from here”

“You’re the man, Mark! Much love!” commented Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour Show.

Belal Muhammad reacted with a clapping emoji while Gordon Ryan did the same with heart emojis.

“Mark Coleman is one hell of a human.” said former UFC fighter Tim Kennedy.

One fan felt nostalgic and happy over his recovery.

“This makes my Heart happy. Been a huge fan since UFC 10 which was my first PPV I bought. This world needs Mark Coleman.”

Clearly, Mark Coleman is a very loved figure in the UFC universe whether it’s fans or friends of legends from his times.
