UFC superstar Khamzat Chimaev is on the offense right now. The Chechen-native has not fought since UFC 279 last year and is visibly upset with the UFC. Chimaev has been voicing his frustrations with inactivity via his various social media channels. Now he has gone one step further with his actions and garnered the attention of fight fans.

Chimaev has been chirping at Dana White recently for not giving him any fights. Despite several names like Paulo Costa and Robert Whittaker popping up, fight news remains elusive in the case of Chimaev. Having had enough of the current situation, Chimaev called out the UFC in a recent YouTube video that he released.

Now, his latest social media stunt hints at some serious tension between the Swede and the UFC brass.

Khamzat Chimaev makes a statement gesture

At 29 years of age, Khamzat Chimaev is one of the biggest stars in the UFC at the moment. As he enters his prime years, ‘The Wolf’ wants to feed on competition. Since the UFC is not satisfying his demands, he has made a gesture that could signify the rift between the two parties.

One eagle-eyed fan noticed Chimaev’s ‘following’ list on Twitter and spotted that he had unfollowed everyone, including Dana White and other top UFC brass like Mick Maynard and Sean Selby. He had unfollowed his close friend and training partner, Darren Till as well.

While his distancing from the aforementioned parties on Twitter is interesting, what grabs even more attention is who he follows there. Currently, Chimaev is only following two accounts on Twitter. One of them belongs to the Dubai-based MMA figure Tam Khan and controversial internet figure Andrew Tate. The welterweight star also follows the UFC official page and ESPN MMA page, making it a total of four accounts that he now follows.

Chimaev and Tate had recently made headlines with a recent clip of theirs. The Chechen invited ‘Top G’ to his next fight, and the pair exchanged some kind words with each other.

Is Chimaev having a full-blown fallout with the UFC? How long will it be before we see him fight again? Who will be his opponent?
