Now, the Brazilian has shocked fans with a tweet that may just assure fans of his much-awaited comeback. ‘The Eraser’ has already exchanged numerous verbal jabs with the unbeaten rising star Khamzat Chimaev. Over the last couple of months, ‘Borz’ and ‘The Eraser’ have publicly called out each other. And it seems like finally, the UFC will let both trash-talkers duke it out, at UFC 294.

In a recent tweet, the Brazilian #7 Middleweight shared a much-awaited update for his fans. Giving fans a sneak peek into his next fight roster, Costa dropped a major hint. The tweet shared by ‘The Eraser’ reads: “I just  signed ✅”

Although the Brazilian didn’t disclose his opponent – it’s safe to assume that his fight at Abu Dhabi will pit him against the Swedish fighter. ‘Borz’ has been waiting for a match for quite long, and so has Costa. If the duo are to fight this year, UFC 294 is definitely the only stage that can make it happen.

In a recently uploaded Instagram story, Paulo Costa had already hinted at the possibility of a potential showdown with ‘Borz.’ Bashful and unapologetic as he is, Costa aimed some bold remarks at Chimaev for all his jibes and chatter.

Moreover, in a tweet prior to his signing, ‘The Eraser’ had some sharp remarks for ‘Borz.’ In the tweet, the Brazilian claimed that he would “expose” the Swedish fighter at their fight in Abu Dhabi. The #7 Middleweight wrote, “Gourmet Chen Chen me and u knows I’m going to Abu Dhabi To expose you badly and u know that. You got scared since I meet u in UFC PI.” In another jab at the Swedish welterweight, the Brazilian wrote:

But that’s not all, as ‘Borrachinha’ even labeled him as a “little insecure weirdo”. Now that the bout is potentially on the verge of confirmation, all eyes are on Chimaev as fans await updates from the Swedish fighter’s end. But one thing is for sure – if these two hot-heads lock horns at UFC 294, fans are surely in for an electrifying clash.
