It’s been eons since Khamzat Chimaev stepped into the UFC octagon! And he’s howling like a banshee for a challenge. The undefeated Swedish fighter has been itching for a scrap, but he’s been met with a deafening silence. Recently, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ Kamaru Usman threw down the gauntlet and called out Chimaev for a scrap. The Swede accepted the challenge, but Dana White put the kibosh on the matchup, blaming it on Chimaev for his inactivity. ‘Borz’ wasn’t pleased with White’s statement and went on a blistering rant, lambasting the UFC president for not giving him a chance.
In the midst of all this drama, the dominant Swede has aimed a shot at fellow welterweight fighter Colby Covington. The former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion is currently sitting pretty, as White has promised him a title shot against Leon Edwards, despite being inactive for over a year. To add fuel to the fire, Covington recently made some audacious remarks about the reigning middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, which compelled the dominant Swede Chimaev to give him a piece of his mind.

Khamzat Chimaev disses Colby Covington
During a recent interview with ‘MMA Fighting’, the Californian fighter took a shot at Israel Adesanya. Despite securing a title shot at the welterweight division, the 35-year-old seems to be looking beyond the horizon and is aiming for the middleweight champion in the future, too.
Speaking of which, Colby Covington said, “I don’t think [Israel Adesanya] can hang with me. I think I take him down, I beat him from pillar to post and I just break him inside that Octagon. He can’t hang with the cardio king. He’s not ready for all-American steel and twisted s*x appeal. I would love that fight, champion versus champion, USA versus wherever he’s from, New Zealand or whatever. Let’s get this going.”

This post grabbed a lot of attention from UFC enthusiasts, including Khamzat Chimaev. The 29-year-old reacted to it with a question at first, asking, “If you company man why you didn’t accept a fight ? 🤣”.
In addition to that stinging question, Chimaev further made a snide remark on ‘Chaos’, writing, “Big Bullsh*t 🤦🏻♂️🤣”.
