Deiveson Figueiredo Moves to United States for His Training Camp With Henry Cejudo and Zhang Weili

Two of the best UFC fighters moved their training camp to train with the former two-division champion Henry Cejudo. The latter took to social media to share the news.

Deiveson Figueiredo clashed against the then title challenger Brandon Moreno inside the octagon for a rematch after a draw in their first square off. Unfortunately, the latter gave Figueiredo his second setback in UFC and also became the new flyweight champion.

Now the Brazilian fighter is preparing for his third battle against ‘The Assassin Baby’ to regain his flyweight gold. And he is leaving no stone unturned. The 33-year-old has moved his training camp from Brazil to the United States for his trilogy fight. Interestingly, the Brazilian fighter will train with the former UFC champion and Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo.

The former champion took to social media to share a video with the Brazilian fighter. He wrote in the caption, “Triple C and The God of War @daico_deusdaguerra have officially United in fight camp! This time we ain’t taking no prisoners. #andnew 🇧🇷”

Both the men have previously taken verbal shots at each other, leading up to a fight in the promotion. However, the fight never officially took place, and now ‘Deus da Guerra’ will train with ‘Triple-C’ in for his title fight.

Meanwhile, Figueiredo is not the only UFC fighter who is training with Cejudo. The former women’s strawweight champion has also moved her training camp to the United States to train with Cejudo. And here is what she said about her training with the Olympic medalist.

Zhang Weili Talks About Her Training With Henry Cejudo

The Chinese fighter, Zhang Weili, is preparing for her title rematch against the strawweight champion Rose Namajunas. Both the women’s strawweight fighters will clash inside the octagon at UFC 268. The pay-per-view will take place inside the Madison Square Garden in New York on 6th November.

And in order to improve her wrestling skills, ‘Magnum’ is training with one of the best fighters and former UFC champion Henry Cejudo. Recently, the Chinese women’s fighter gave a positive update about her training in the latest episode of MMA Hour.

While talking to Ariel Helwani, Weili said, “Henry will have a baby very soon. We would certainly love to have him in our corner, but we understand that maybe he will be having a baby at that time.”

She continued, “Henry has been my coach through the whole process. Every day he’s teaching me something about wrestling, all kinds of wrestling and ground and pound.”
