Conor McGregor praises Deliveroo driver for stopping a knife attack
‘The brave attempt from Deliveroo driver Caio Benicio in helping a young girl impressed ‘The Notorious’. He took to Twitter (X), called him a hero, and lauded his contributions to Irish society. Besides, Benicio’s actions have been met with widespread praise from many people on social media. Conor McGregor said, “The working man is the real hero! Bravo our Brazilian brother in Ireland, working hard, earning a living, and contributing to Irish society! This is it!”

Moreover, the 35-year-old MMA icon also mentioned that the Deliveroo driver earned a lot of respect from the Irish people for his actions. As such, Conor McGregor promised him to give a lifetime free service at his Black Forged Inn pub. “We love, appreciate, and respect you greatly! Thank you so much Caio Benicio! The Deliveroo driver fended off the attacker with his helmet
As reported by ‘The Journal‘, Caio Benicio was out on his motorcycle as per his daily work routine. He happened to notice a man on Parnell Street attacking a young girl with a knife. This prompted Benicio to immediately get off his bike and take his helmet to hit the attacker. He later mentioned that the decision to hit the attacker was purely instinctual.

The Deliveroo driver hit the attacker with all his might and helped to subdue him in the process. However, the victims, which included three young children and a female creche worker, were injured during the attack.
