Perry‘s brazen attitude and willingness to speak his opinion have made him a favourite among his audience. Perry’s next fight is against former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold coming up in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 41.

Both Perry and Rockhold recently appeared on the MMA Hour Show with Ariel Helwani to promote the event. During the interview, Perry took many digs at Rockhold, leaving fans laughing and anticipating the upcoming fight.

Mike Perry takes a personal dig at Luke Rockhold

During the course of the virtual interview, Rockhold was pointing out how Perry can only excel while fighting in just one direction. “One direction. All you sneak is one f*cking direction. I am gonna show you every direction”, Rockhold said. By this shot, the former UFC Middleweight Champion meant that he was going attack Perry from all directions during the course of their fight.

However, Perry came back with a quick but strong reply. “That’s your favorite band”, Perry said, pointing out to Rockhold repeatedly saying the phrase – One Direction. Perry referred to the popular boy band One Direction.

It is worth noting that Rockhold’s ex-girlfriend, Demi Lovato had a crush on one of the members of the band. In the year 2012, when Lovato was a rising star in mainstream media, she confessed to having a crush on Niall Horan. Whether it was an unintentional jibe by Perry, or an intentional one, it surely had deep meaning for Rockhold.

Rockhold has been an inspirational figure in the world of MMA. However, he has also been famous for his dating life through the years. In 2016, he made headlines for dating the Grammy nominated singer Demi Lovato. The relationship did not last very long, as the couple split up just after a few months.

However, the two got a common smiley tattoo on their little finger. Rockhold and Lovato were also seen together at UFC 205, which was headlined by the Notorious Conor McGregor.
