Weight cutting-related health issues are not something new for UFC fighters. Often the competitors get so depleted, it becomes hard to even recognize them.

The scary appearances of the likes of Conor McGregor in weigh-ins during his featherweight days or even former UFC middleweight Yoel Romero haunt the fans.

Whether fighters should put themselves through such strenuous procedures just to get an edge in competition over their rivals is something that is debated hotly.

Whether it is time to revisit the rules of weight-cutting before the fight should be discussed. Otherwise, such cases will only rise by the day.
