UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis will be in the main event this weekend. ‘The Black Beast’ takes on Curtis Blaydes with the winner most likely to get the next title shot after Francis Ngannou. While the rematch between Ngannou and Stipe Miocic has yet to be announced, a win for either Lewis and Blaydes should put them next in line.

Lewis has been with the promotion since 2014 and this weekend will be his twenty-first UFC fight. Lewis currently has 15 wins in the promotion; 11 of those wins have come by stoppage.

While ‘The Black Beast’ is content with his UFC career, he has displayed inclinations to move to WWE once his fighting days are over. Lewis believes his size and his charisma will do well in the world of professional entertainment.

Derrick Lewis WWE Finishing move

At the UFC pre-fight media interaction, the reporter asked Lewis what his finishing move would be if he joined the WWE. ‘The Black Beast’ replied, “It’s probably something like Rikishi, like a finishing move like Rikishi or something like that”

Rikishi was an American professional wrestler of Samoan descent. Well known for his tremendous size and his sumo-wrestler outfit, he joined the tag team known as ‘Too Cool’.

Rikishi’s finisher was a visual of him throwing his opponent into the ring corner as he restricted their breathing by shoving his enormous backside in their face. He would capture the Intercontinental, World Tag Team, and the WWE Tag Team Championship during his career. Rikishi’s legacy lives on in the WWE to this day through his sons, Jimmy and Jey Uso.

Lewis believes that he would have a similar wrestling move, but he would add his twist. Lewis continued, “I’ll just call it ‘The b**ls Hot’.”  Here he referred to his viral post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, where he took his pants off in the middle of the Octagon.

‘The Black Beast’ will now look to focus on his upcoming main event. Lewis is currently on a three-fight win streak while Blaydes has only ever lost to Francis Ngannou in the UFC. Both heavyweights will be looking to make a statement with a dominant win this weekend at UFC on ESPN 18.
