Jon Jones’ next UFC fight is expected to cost Dana White a lot of money. After all, the heavyweight champion has one condition for fighting Tom Aspinall: he wants a major payday to justify his efforts. If his demands are not met, ‘Bones’ chooses to either vacate his belt, fight Alex Pereira in a super-fight, or ride into the sunset. So, how much is he asking? Joe Rogan has disclosed that it is a staggering sum of $30 million. Not only that, but the JRE host delivered a brutal verdict on Jon Jones and Alex Pereira.
Speaking to Yannis Pappas and Chris DiStefano at JRE #2249, Joe Rogan revealed that he believes Jon Jones will fight Tom Aspinall next. After all, according to the UFC commentator, Dana White will end up obliging Jon Jones’ pay request. “I think it’s going to be Aspinall. I think they’re trying to come to some sort of an agreement. The rumor is that he wants $30 million, and, you know, the UFC is going to pay it—hopefully. I hope they pay.” However, he then proceeded to give his thoughts on Alex Pereira being a possible opponent for ‘Bones.’
Joe Rogan stated that if the fight’s going to happen, it should happen soon since both fighters are already 37 years old. But seeing that Jones is the heavyweight champion and Alex Pereira too has challengers at light heavyweight, it seems like their fight would be unlikely. Especially with Magomed Ankalaev in line. The JRE host said, “He’s supposed to be fighting Ankalaev. Ankalaev is f****** very dangerous, and he’s, I think, the number one contender. He’s been on a winning streak for a long a** time.”

However, the only thing that’s stopping the two from fighting is Alex Pereira’s desire to fight in March, the month of Ramadan. According to Joe Rogan on the podcast, since Magomed Ankalaev would be fasting, the number one challenger would stay away from having his much-awaited title fight that month. But what if he ends up accepting the fight in a surprising move that we wouldn’t anticipate? Or has Alex Pereira already booked a fight against Jon Jones? Well, that’s what it seemed like after a series of his Instagram stories created a buzz in the fight world.
