The start of the year saw White’s New Year’s Eve video with his wife go viral. The video caused negative publicity for the UFC Boss. Moreover, he faced business loss as a result of his actions. Now he faces the threat of losing his job too. The California Legislators have written a letter to Endeavor [UFC’s parent company] demanding Dana White to be “immediately removed” from his position. The UFC Boss is on the receiving end of harsh criticism even after issuing a public apology for his actions. Furthermore, a UFC veteran has slammed California legislators for their actions while also disapproving Dana White’s actions.

UFC Veteran comes in to slam California Legislator’s actions

Jake Shields has tweeted to bash the California State Legislators for writing a letter to Endeavor’s CEO calling for the “immediate removal” of Dana White. Moreover, Upon hearing the news of a letter that was sent calling for “immediate removal”, Shields disapproved of White’s actions. However, in the same tweet, he said that it wasn’t the responsibility of the California Legislators to keep a check on White’s punishment.

The 5-time world champion is clear in his approach in opining on the current issue. Moreover, he is evidently holding White accountable for his actions. However, he is also preventing the wrong authorities from taking action in this case.

California Legislator’s letter to Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel

The letter given by The California Legislative Women’s Caucus was addressed to Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel. The letter stated, “In the days since the video was released, you have remained silent,” the letter states. “Your continued silence speaks volumes. As you once wrote: ‘Silence and inaction are not an option… We agree — and we are urging you to take immediate action. Like you, we are people who live by our values.”

Furthermore, the content of the letter was, “We, too, are people of action. We are allies against violence, advocates for women, and we are parents like yourself. This is why it is clear to us: we are calling for the immediate removal of Mr. White as President of the UFC.”
