Henry Cejudo had high hopes for his grand comeback in the Octagon after a three-year hiatus. He went on to challenge the reigning bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288. However, things didn’t go well for ‘Triple C’ as Sterling successfully defended his belt by putting him down and winning the bout with a split decision. This loss further ended Cejudo‘s six-fight winning streak and served as a major disappointment in his return. To add insult to injury, the promotion’s biggest star Conor McGregor took the opportunity to take a sharp jibe at the former featherweight and bantamweight champion, criticizing his performance against the ‘Funk Master’.

But Cejudo, even in his disappointed state, did not let it pass and countered with a snide take on ‘The Notorious’ with a USADA remark. However, it seems that McGregor has changed his tune towards the former Olympic gold medalist, and has uncharacteristically put out kinder words for him.

‘The Notorious’ wrote, “Haha my pleasure! Good fight! Dust it off and come back. God bless”. On the other hand, ‘The Notorious’ himself has a comeback in line that is facing quite a jeopardy owing to his ongoing issues with USADA.

Conor McGregor is touted to face Michael Chandler sometime later this year in a pay-per-view bout. However, the Irishman’s recent shenanigans have sent left the fans concerned about the possibility of seeing him fight Chandler this year.

Additionally, the two will be seen coaching the pack of UFC hopefuls in the 31st season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’, scheduled to air on May 30th on ESPN.
