Joe Rogan reveals he was mocked for planning to open a comedy club

The 55-year-old commentator was amazed to see his anti-woke comedy club, ‘Comedy Mothership,’ thrive since its inception a couple of months ago. However, things weren’t always easy as he faced a lot of mockery from the people when he initially thought about opening his own comedy club. Rogan said, “It’s amazing. It feels like a dream while you’re there… How did we do it?”

Rogan mentioned how he had been planning to open his club for the last couple of years, during which he received a lot of negative reactions from other people. He added, “We talked about doing it for two f***ing years, you know. For two years everybody was like, mocking us, ‘When will your club open?’ ‘It takes time, okay. It’s not that f***ing easy.'”

Rogan’s comedy club is aiming to help other comedians

In an earlier episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan revealed that his sole purpose for opening a comedy club was to help comedians get their chance to perform. He also wanted to foster new and talented comics. In addition to that, Joe Rogan also provided the staff members of his club to showcase their own talent on stage, as well.

One of the biggest objectives behind the establishment of ‘Comedy Mothership’ is to help comedians get paid properly. Joe Rogan mentioned that he has created a fun and favorable environment in his club, and the club has already seen a lot of big names perform there, including Bill Burr, Shane Gillis, and Rick Voss, just to name a few.
