If Dana White wills it, so it shall be. White and Company made history by booking the $2.3 billion Las Vegas Sphere for UFC Noche 2 on September 14, next year. White is a man who loves entertainment and strives to put up spectacles in the Octagon. But can he do it with the Sphere like he does with the Madison Square Garden?

The promotion has been all over the world, hosting shows in venues from Australia to Abu Dhabi. However, the Vegas Sphere is one venue that’s stuck in the minds of fans. Will White try and get the venue for the next big thing? According to these UFC veterans, it’s a must. Check out what they have to say.

Will Dana White use the Vegas Sphere for a pay-per-view?

It’s entirely possible for that to happen someday. Especially now that veterans like former champ Daniel Cormier and Ben Askren have urged White to. The two appeared on Cormier’s YouTube channel, where they talked about a whole series of topics.

One of them was the Vegas Sphere. Cormier told Askren about how he loves the idea of the UFC getting in there and how he has been invited to see an event inside the sphere as well. Even though ‘DC’ knows nothing about the so-called event, he’s still going! Just for the sphere. How could they not think of White getting it for a grand event?

“It’s gonna take a lot to make that come to fruition,” Cormier said, recognizing the challenge that it could be. “As you guys know right, Dana White is one of those guys that when he sets his mind to something he gets it done.” Nothing about the Sphere is cheap.

The Sphere cost over $2 billion to build over the years through the pandemic and it can seat 18,000 people in it. Usually, ticket prices for any given event there can go above and beyond even $300 at once to thousands of dollars. However, if the UFC goes there, fans will come running.

What should the sphere be used for?

According to Ben Askren, it should be something major. Something very important, like a grand fight and pay-per-view. Perhaps they could actually think about making it work for the much-touted UFC 300. The same event that’s rumored to witness the grand return of everyone’s favorite Irishman, Conor McGregor. Here’s what the veteran had to say about it.

“Feels like something you should do for like UFC 300 right or something that’s like this big huge event,” said Askren. He also implied that perhaps it should not be used for a Fight Night. Given that they are not always as huge in audience attendance as big pay-per-views. And with a venue that can hold so many excited fans, why not go for the biggest fight? The UFC 300 card is far from being officially announced but who would you like to see fight in the Sphere? Let us know in the comments.
