Many consider the reigning UFC featherweight champion Amanda Nunes to be the greatest female fighter in the MMA world. Nunes has been exceptional in the octagon and has gotten the better of almost all her opponents she’s faced.

As of 22nd May 2022, Nunes stands second in the UFC women’s pound for pound rankings. She is also the number one contender in the women’s bantamweight division. Nunes had one of the most deadly runs in the promotion before the recent loss to Julianna Pena. During her win streak, the Brazilian challenged the famous reality TV star Kim Kardashian to a bout inside the UFC octagon.

Before Nunes shared it on Twitter, UFC president Dana White was the first to suggest this idea out there in the public. White slammed and contrasted the boxing exhibition match between Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather to a fight between Nunes and Kim Kardashian.

Even though the reality star is a fitness freak, she has no fighting background whatsoever. Nunes jokingly called the billionaire Kardashian out over a year ago and has gotten no response from her for it.

The Brazilian UFC iconic left her long-time gym where she trained for over seven years long years recently. She had revealed this news to the public earlier this year and confirmed that she will aim to build her own gym. Nunes felt like this was the right opportunity to do so and took her chance to leave.

UFC icon Chael Sonnen recently explained the situation on his YouTube channel.

Recently, the former double champion revealed that her ATT exit had a lot to do with the PFL star Kayla Harrison. Harrison also trains at American Top Team and recently started speaking up about coming to the UFC. Harrison hinted that she was interested in joining the UFC and taking on Amanda Nunes for the championship belt from Nunes, who was at the time her teammate.
