The Ultimate Fighting Championship provided a chance for various types of fighters. From grapplers to strikers and flyweights to heavyweights, the warriors have left a deep mark on the sport. However, there was one fighter who left Joe Rogan with wide eyes because of his stone-faced demeanor. The fighter was none other than the one who recently called out the legendary Mike Tyson for a boxing match.
Fedor Emelianenko, the retired Russian mixed martial artist, made a name for himself after being on the receiving end of a suplex, in a fight against Kevin Randleman. The fight left a long-lasting mark as the fighter didn’t show any emotion as he landed on his neck. As Rogan recalled the fight during a conversation with Jared Cannonier on episode #144 of the JRE MMA Show, the duo was indeed left flabbergasted.

Joe Rogan recalls the stone-faced fighter
During the conversation with Cannonier, Rogan stumbled upon Emelianenko’s big belly. He couldn’t stop himself from making a joke about that. Rogan said, “Whenever I think about people who do stuff like this, I think about Fedor. Because Fedor used to fight, he had a big belly. You know, he didn’t give a f**k about portion control.”
Thereafter, he recalled that there was a time when Quinton Jackson was talking about the Russian. He said, “It was Rampage Jackson and he was talking about how Fedor was his favorite fighter and he was recalling this moment where Kevin Randleman suplexed him, and threw him on his neck. And Fedor’s expression never changed. Isn’t that wild? It’s so true. Because he’s, he just no matter what in the heat of battle, just stone-faced. Never, no emotion, no nothing. Stone-faced!”
