The UFC veteran, Diego Sanchez, is currently in the hospital dealing with health issues. Ever since he has been infected with the virus, the 30-year-old is frequently posting about his health on his official Twitter account.

Previously, Sanchez had posted a picture of himself on the hospital bed. He also wrote about his blood clots and pneumonia. As a result, many people and UFC fans took to his Twitter post and wished him a speedy recovery in the comments. The fan’s response and the support overwhelmed ‘Nightmare’ and he thanked them with a series of posts.

In the post, Sanchez wrote, “I have thousands and thousands of prayers messages to read. While I’m in the hospital again!! very inspirational!! I’m receiving churches, families, and just a lot of great people. Putting me in their hearts and taking it to god the father.”

The support from his fans surely gave some hope to the MMA veteran. However, after departing from the UFC, his fans still wonder about his next move in combat sports.

What Lies Next for Diego Sanchez

During his time in the UFC, the former lightweight title challenger has fought some of the notable names like Nick Diaz and BJ Penn. He has competed in 44 professional fights and has a 31-13 career record under his name.

Following a 3-2 record in his last five bouts, ‘Nightmare’ parted ways with the UFC. However, there were rumors about his move to the new surging form of MMA bare-knuckle fighting.

Many other former UFC fighters like Mike Perry, Chad Mendes, Artem Lobov, Paige VanZant, Ricco Rodriguez, Chase Sherman, and Jason Knight have also turned their attention towards bare-knuckle fighting after UFC.

As per the reports, Sanchez was in talks with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship this year. And was interested to face the former UFC welterweight Perry inside the BKFC cage.

However, there hasn’t been any official announcement so far. Also, considering Sanchez’s current condition, his fans will surely have to wait for him to recover before they get to see him back in action.
