UFC heavyweight king Jon Jones has been out of action for a year but continues to be a target of criticism in the MMA world. One of the main reasons is his disregard for the plea of interim champion Tom Aspinall, who has been vocal about wanting a title unification match. However, Jon Jones has consistently ignored Aspinall’s requests, with Dana White also rejecting the idea. Recently, ‘Bones’ was targeted by another MMA star, Dillon Danis, in a social media post.

Recently, a renowned MMA page on Instagram shared a screenshot of an X post from Jon Jones. In the post, Jones was responding to a fan who asked if he could beat Tom Aspinall. Jones confidently replied, “Bro, absolutely. I’m getting close to being in fight shape and I’m weighing in at 245 now. He probably cuts weight to get down to heavyweight. The night we fought he would probably weigh a solid 25 pounds more than me, seven years younger, and I would still whip his ass like I’ve done everyone else. You guys can go ahead and believe the hype, I’ll keep doing what I’ve always done, win.”

After seeing this post on Instagram, Danis, known for his outspoken nature, couldn’t resist commenting, “Jones dropping paragraphs like my angry ex.” Despite turning down Tom Aspinall’s request for a title unification fight, Jones’ journey won’t be easy, as he moves forward to face former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 309, rumored for this fall at Madison Square Garden. This fight was initially set to happen last year but was postponed due to ‘Bones’ shoulder injury.

Recently, at a PFL event, he criticized Dana White for not arranging a fight between Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones.

In a recent X post, ‘The Problem Child’ addressed the Jones-Tom Aspinall situation and dismissed the speculation that ‘Bones’ is afraid of Aspinall. He wrote, “Jon Jones doesn’t dodge anyone. He knows exactly what he’s doing. Show him the money – that real money. Not that spin the narrative money. Him versus Aspinal is massive as it hits two big ppv markets. $25M guarantee plus ppv seems about right. @JonnyBones”
