As UFC 315 continued to garner praise for the Canadian fighters, the fighting realm got to witness a real hero in Dillon Danis. You see, the former Bellator contender has often found himself in the middle of contentious swamps with his words and actions. We all know his recent troubles in securing a bout! His Misfits Boxing bout against KSI was scrapped after the British boxer withdrew from their March 29 date due to illness.

Moreover, the BJJ ace’s GFL debut against former UFC interim champ Tony Ferguson was also scrapped after the promotion’s financial backing went into the gutter owing to an investor backing out at the last moment. Truly an unfortunate sight, even for a fighter as controversial as Conor McGregor’s former BJJ coach. However, when it comes to standing up for the bullied children, ‘El Jefe’ has always taken the front seat.

He once said, “I was bullied as a kid, and jiu-jitsu saved my life. I feel like it can help change people’s lives for the better, the way it did mine.” And now, it was time for him to get back to helping people. Danis recently came across a video that has been going viral on the internet lately. The video showed a child making a stand for himself against a few others at a park. He could be heard saying, “You wanna come up behind me and kick in the back!”

But when he started moving away, another kid rushed in to attack. And he retaliated. But soon, one more boy joined the scuffle, and the kid was left with his head bust open and bleeding. Danis soon took to X and shared the video with his fans. ‘El Jefe’ wrote, “Someone find me this young man’s details and I will pay for a lifetime membership at any martial art gym in his area 🙏.”

Quite a generous gesture, don’t you agree? Danis has had his share of surviving bullying as a kid. And that must have gone even higher when he faced lawsuits against Logan Paul and his significant other. Nevertheless, the BJJ ace stood true to his promise. He later shared another tweet, showing a screenshot of a chat with a fan.

When a fan named Amanda Cinderella texted him on Instagram, he asked if she actually knew the boy. The fan responded that while she wasn’t an associate of the child, she knew his mother, and she had already sent a text regarding Danis’ offer. She wrote, “We are in Anderson, IN. This happened a couple of weeks ago at Mays Park. There is a local tree service business owner that organized an event at that park to stand up against violence. It’s been a big uproar in our city. I do not know the entire story that began the fight. It is so crazy that the video has reached you! You are awesome for this!”

And ‘El Jefe’ was adamant on his take. He asked to put him in contact with the boy’s family and promised to donate to the event. He wrote, “I’ll get him set up at a local gym, a bunch of goodies, and really anything he wants. A lot of people behind him ✊.” Of course, this wasn’t something that Dillon Danis did for the first time. Let’s take a look at the New Yorker’s stance on the bullied.

Dillon Danis has a habit of putting bullied folks in martial arts gyms

Earlier in 2019, Danis responded to a 14-year-old bullying victim and promised to pay up for his martial arts training. He quoted that videos where children get bullied absolutely break his heart. And he added that anyone who knows the child can contact him. Soon, ‘El Jefe’ found his contact and offered to pay for his Jiu-Jitsu training at the nearest gym. He claimed, “That video broke my heart, my man, sorry you had to go through that, but i got your back, let’s do this.”

The trend continued in 2020, when Danis came across a video of a young girl being bullied. Reacting to the video on social media, he quoted, “We need to find this young lady and get her anything she needs, this is so hard to watch if you have any information please let me know I’m willing to help her in any way!” However, the further context about whether the girl received the help or not remains unknown.

And now, the fighting community witnessed another generous act by the former Bellator contender with offers to a bullying victim. Nevertheless, we still have to wait and see if Danis gets to help the young kid build a strong front and take a stand for himself in a better way.
