‘Tarzan’ might have a very rough personality, but his heart still cries for the innocent lives that were lost in the Hawaiian wildfire. The fire started as a small thing but soon turned into a disaster that took the lives of more than 70 people and did unimaginable damage to the environment. The events that unfolded that day were sad, and Strickland is well aware of it.

The fighter recently had a conversation with Megan Olivi on ESPN ahead of his clash. While having a conversation about Strickland’s backup plan, the fighter delved into Mark Zuckerberg’s decision to build a lavish multi-million dollar holiday home in Hawaii just after the wildfire.

“Society, man, it’s brutal., you know? Even little something like the Zuckerberg, you know, Mr. Zuck. You know, he’s building what? A multi-billion dollar compound in Hawaii. You, like, half of Hawaii burns down, and you’re taking all this money to build a compound. Like, you can’t talk about the world and not be angry. It’s insane, man. It’s fu**ing insane.” said Strickland.

Strickland further explains the reason behind his anger. He emphasized anger towards individuals who talk about global issues but fail to take action or show empathy. On the other hand, UFC featherweight fighter, Max Holloway raised awareness about the incident and UFC donated an approximate amount of $ 1 million for the good cause. However, it must be noted that this is not the first time Strickland went after the tech mogul.
