In major news for fighters, the UFC has recently made significant changes to their contractual agreements, which could have a deep impact on how the promotion moves forward. As per reports made by Bloody Elbow and various other media outlets, some of the crucial changes that were made were the addition of an arbitrary agreement along with a class action waiver. As news of the update broke out, MMA fans were quick to criticize the promotion, with some specifically attacking UFC president Dana White.

These changes come at a time when the UFC has been mired in controversy with the entire Francis Ngannou saga, which saw the African heavyweight walk away from the promotion after a series of failed negotiations. Although Ngannou was able to exit the UFC, the report by Bloody Elbow mentioned that fighters might find it difficult to do the same in the future.

Bloody Elbow’s official page on Twitter was one of the first to break the news on the micro-blogging site. A majority of the tweets on it were of concerned MMA fans who didn’t hesitate in bashing the promotion.

Not surprisingly, one of the first tweets made a reference to Francis Ngannou and the news around his exit from the UFC.

Naturally, UFC president Dana White was the first to get thrashed by fans. Someone also accused him of enjoying the contract changes.

Moreover, one MMA fan even forecasted the future of the UFC. Blaming the promotion’s current ranking system, he even pointed out Conor McGregor as an example of how the UFC only relies on the popularity of the fighters to make fights.

Someone also suggested a potential strike by the fighters. He even went on to call the changes a “disgusting” move on part of the UFC.

This last tweet completely summarized the Bloody Elbow report and also the negative aspects of the new changes.

Ultimately, an uproar from fans and critics on such news is fairly common, but what impact these new changes will have on the fighters is something only time can tell.
